Multi award winning singer song writer Maria Fakitopoulos has cross pollinated folk and rock with a hint of jazz to produce a Meadow of Sunflowers, a new CD for her band Maria's Chakra, released through Sound Vault. Since the release of their first album Sunrise, Maria's Chakra has bloomed into a stunning talent. Maria, a multi instrumentalist with a mighty voice, and front person for the band, has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Jewel and Sarah McLachlan. Jeff Burstin (Vika and Linda) produced the album and played guitar, with Bruce Haymes (Paul Kelly) on keyboards, Peter Luscome (Paul Kelly) on drums and James Rust on bass.
