Martha Tilston has been creating a storm within the "new folk" and festival scenes over the last 3 years, playing at Glastonbury and the Cambridge Folk Festival, and touring with artists such as Damien Rice, Fairport Convention, Hem and Nick Harper. Daughter of revered songwriter Steve Tilston, and stepdaughter to folk singer Maggie Boyle, Martha's childhood was spent around the bright lights of the folk scene. Martha's other grandfather is renowned architect Eric Lyons, who inspired "The Architect". The album features Martha's band The Woods (bazoukis, mandolins, strings, harmonies, latin percussion, fretless bass) and comprises all original compositions, alongside traditional folk songs, "Polly Vaughan", "Silver Dagger" & "I Wish I Wish".
