Raised in rural Victoria, roots/rock singer/songwriter, Harry Hookey first played the guitar at the age of 15 when his father brought home instruments for he and his three brothers. Whilst studying law at the University of Melbourne, Harry explored his talents as a solo musician, busking in Melbourne streets and entering and winning competitions with punk rock band, The Bystanders, an outfit he formed with 6 other law students. In 2012 Harry took out first place in the unsigned category of the renowned International Songwriter’s Competition. Harry headed into the studio in 2012 with award winning producer Matt Fell to record his first 6 track EP, Old Noise featuring the single Don’t You Ever Treat Me Like a Fool and the hauntingly beautiful Audrey’s Song.
