It's been an amazing couple of years for Harmony James. Since the release of the self-titled EP released in 2007 many eyes have been on her. Her debut song from the EP ‘Tailwind ’earned her instant international recognition and a chance at the CMAA Golden Guitar Award for New Talent. This was followed up by what has become her signature song ‘Somebody Stole My Horse’, a track that racked up 4 weeks in the number 1 spot on the Australian Country Music Charts.
This new collection of songs will give listeners the record they have waited for: songs created from years of isolation, over thinking, dreaming and observing the world, as she knows it. Harmony. James has spent much of her life in the wide-open spaces, her nights filled with music: making it, listening to it and writing it. The first single from this album ‘Fly’ has captured the attention of listeners Australia wide, the song is equal parts hope and despair and reveals the all too common fears and insecurities that many face while they reach for happiness.
