It takes a huge leap of faith for a teenager to travel halfway round the world in search of a dream .. but for young singer/songwriter, Catherine Britt, her determination has paid off.

Thanks to an extraordinary voice and a mesmerising on-stage presence .. not to mention her ability to win over the hearts and ears of even the biggest stars, including Sir Elton John .. Catherine is now recognised in the US as one of the hottest new talents in country music today.

"My Producers, Keith Stegall and Bill Chambers, wanted this album to reflect who I really am today, and where I stand musically," Catherine said. "We took a lot of care with every track."

"For me, that starts with the essence of the songs. I've always loved everything about country music and I want to showcase its heritage and traditions, as well as its contemporary diversity, so that others can start to understand and appreciate its beauty as much as I do."

"When I write my own songs, I'm showing you exactly who I am and what I'm feeling", she continues. "It's scary giving away so much of yourself in a song, but my own favourite songs have come from the depths of some very brave songwriters and I'm inspired by their willingness to be so honest."

"I've learned that, if I want to write a song that means something to me, and will hopefully also touch other people, I have to swallow some of my own embarrassment and just put the whole truth out there on display", she said.

Too Far Gone's superb production and Nashville's very best musicians have ensured the music conveys every nuance of emotion Catherine is talking about, making the album a real listening experience.
