TIM LOVE LEE's first album of original material in nearly 5 years is startlingly original - at turns monstrous and beautiful it is electronic tomfoolery at it's best. Supposedly commissioned by a contemporary dance group known as the Brooklyn Experimental Movement Ensemble but in all likelihood the result of an unnatural love affair between a man and his modular synthesisers, 'Against Nature' sees Lee venturing into a vast expanse of new musical territory. The sound? Raw oscillators tearing across the frequency spectrum, dubbed out space echoes creeping out and feeding back on themselves, uncontrolled percussive outbursts. At turns beautiful and disturbing this album may be hard to "chill out" to but it's even harder toignore.
