Killer 16-track set of American blue eyed soul from the glory days of the late '70s and '80s compiled by UK DJs Zafar Chwodhry & Mark "Goodvibes" Taylor. This is not 'Americana' as we usually know it, but its a disc stuffed with hidden gems of what could be termed A.O.R. (Adult Oriented Rock), but on further investigation is groovy, West Coast rock with elements of soul, jazz, funk, folk & disco. Whether it be the sweaty loose-hipped funk of New Orleans or the frenetic and frosty four-on-the-top of Motown, this is a real west coast 'top down' driving sound.
