Springing primarily from Chicago, Juke can be compared to other early house & techno, Ghetto Tech, Miami Bass, Baltimore House and even jungle and of course elements of hip hop. The most widely known track outside of Chicago was "Switch Board" from KID SISTER's debut album 'Ultraviolet'. PLANET MU is the first established label to release any Juke (or Footwork as it's also known due to the crazy dancing involved!) and these tracks have only been available as CDRs and tiny releases within Chicago.
