'Disko Vietnam' the second album from SAVAS PASCALIDIS, delivers more of his unmistakable brand of dark acid techno. The album is shrouded in dark synths entangled with firm body-moving beats and acid bleeps. Acid sounds squelch their way throughout 'Disko Vietnam', all the time accompanied by crisp drum rhythms. Savas Pascalidis manages to make music that sounds futuristic while still retaining old-school style and attitude. He takes certain sounds and production values from disco and early electro yet still delivers a thoroughly 21st century album. Savas takes from the past and gives to the future, expanding on the best elements of disco, acid-electro and straight up techno.
