New Dub City Sound are a fresh mash up of dub, reggae, hip hop and trip hop. Produced by frontman Ali MC, their new album Home is a modern sound incorporating dub echoes and delays and a passionate vocal delivery reminiscent of Joe Strummer. Influenced by Ali MC's travels around the world - from Haiti and Ethiopia to the Middle East, Jamaica and Tanzania - Ali has incorporated the music found in these places and created a rich palette of styles. Sonically, the production relies heavily on analogue sounds - sampling straight from vinyl, combining vintage tape recording with modern digital techniques.
