MUSIC VS PHYSICS is an audio production crew from North Fitzroy, Melbourne. Their electric soundscapes combine influence from the past and present; sampled beats, orchestral arrangements and layed vocals. The release of Oblong Data strengthens Music Vs Physics' already impressive back catalogue; an anthology of beats entitled Northside Perspective and _Underscore. Both these releases were happily played and rotated on radio nationally including Triple J, RRR, PBS and 2SER. _Underscore was also Beat Magazine's album of the week, and the national tour for this release was presented by Triple J. Their self produced videoclip 'Love is a 256 Colour Word' explores such graphic lineage and rival's big budget production such as the Gorillaz. Their live performance consists of 3rd Dek on turntable and microphone, Beatrix on sampler and microphone and Gonzo on live drums. Music Vs Physics have toured and performed with some of their favourite international musical artists including Buck 65, DJ Krush, Money Mark, Tortoise, Dose-1 & Sole (Anticon), James Lavelle, The Boredoms, King Kapisi, Pitch Black.
