'Son' is Juana's third DOMINO album and her most beautiful and immediate so far. It is propelled by compulsive percussive vocal tracks, not dissimilar to the avant beatboxing of BODENSTANDIG and BJORK before her. With fans as diverse as DAVID BYRNE and APHEX TWIN, Juana's music mixes folk, pop and electronics to beguiling affect. Juana looks set to be firmly in the public eye this year, with a collaboration with DEVENDRA BANHART appearing soon. She will also be appearing on the forthcoming CHEMICAL BROTHERS album. It seems like Juana is finally receiving the recognition she deserves after her acclaimed albums 'Tres Cosas' and 'Segundo'.
