The Brighton producer's debut brings a diverse selection of soulful, bittersweet songs, with five vocalists including UK soul queen Dionne Charles and LA MC Shane Hunter. Simon Hill was a founder member of deep funk outfit Baby Charles, who received rave reviews for their 2008 debut. After two early BH songs, were met with great reactions from DJ Food, Gilles Peterson, DJ Format and Laurent Garnier etc, the album was inevitable. The heavy drum loops, bass lines, synth, guitars and vintage tape machines will appeal to fans of Gaslamp Killer, DJ Shadow, Portishead, Flying Lotus et al.
