Welcome to this very first and completely unique CD mix introducing Tokyo Project, the new label adventure from Hed Kandi's Mark Doyle, internationally-celebrated Hed Kandi graphic illustrator, Jason Brooks and friends. We're celebrating the launch with the release of Tokyo Project - 'The Introduction' - an exclusive 14 track mixthat retails at $19.95, which previews the first examples of Tokyo Project's own repertoire. Compiled and mixed by the legendary creative, DJ and A&R, Hed Kandis own Mark Doyle, this selection is an introduction to his independent new label vision and this is the first time he unleashes these amazing new tracks and artists for your pleasure! The sampler features a selection of future classics and is brimming with top quality uplifting house numbers: tracks like Discrete - Love Me, a classic U.S. style piano-driven house anthem from Tokyo producer, Eric Kupper, and loaded with fiercely soulful vocals from Belle Erskine, to The Montana's - Love Just Found Me (from the production team that brought you Morjac & Marly), this track might just be a contender for crossover club hit of summer 2006 and you get to hear it here first! Keeping that upbeat disco vibe alive is the defining sound of Tokyo Project: Fac 15 - Haven't You Heard. Set to be one of the first singles released by Tokyo, it combines live strings, amazing production and Cathi Ogden's stunning vocal to incendiary effect. Tokyo has a slightly tougher side too though. It's demonstrated by tracks like Isaac James -BodyBody, the long-awaited follow up to 'Baby Likes It' is a true Tokyo dancefloor stormer and this electro-tinged mix is provided by Dirty South complete with electric guitar lines and a cool catchy vocal hook. Then there's the genius of Rockin Rebelz - Dreamer Axe Guitar which takes the 'rock house' genre to a whole new level by pairing a moshing-rock backing track with a classic vocal with spectacular results.
