Teinne is a project that began in early 2010 when singer and producer Tim Downey decided to take his music in a direction away from his former folk-rock beginnings. The new sound is decidedly more beat-driven, alternative-pop, with a much more 'up-front' attitude. Tim's approach to writing was a kind of deconstruction of Blues music. Over the past few years, Tim has listened to heaps of Tom Waits and Beck - both of whom he cites as major influences. He also grew up with Wally De Backer (Gotye) and this holds true in his musical styling !
