One of the rock guitarist gurus, Pat Travers branches out in many different ways, places and with many excellent musicians. Pat continued to tour in front of huge audiences and released another two albums before heading to America. The US took Travers like ducks to water and he gained a massive following and much critical acclaim for both his live shows and his studio albums of which "Live! Go For What You Know" (1979) and "Crash And Burn" (1980) entered the US top 30. After bowing out of the studio for several years due to his disillusionment with the record industry he recorded "School Of Hard Knocks" in 1990, an album that was to prove a huge success amongst his fans and win him many new admirers. The 80s established him as one of the most distinctive guitarists in the scene, combining heavy metal riffology with moments of musical genius. On tour most of the time, Pat performed an extremely impressive concert in the Diamond Club in 1990 which broke all expectations of his followers of the past 20 years. Inviting everyone to his hometown, Toronto, Canada, he mesmerized an entire crowd of his top fans for what was talked about for ages. The night was one to remember and it is now on DVD!
