David Coverdale quit Deep Purple in March 1976 and began work on his debut solo album 'Whitesnake.' This low-key (and now rare) release, recorded with the help of guitarist Micky Moody (A key member of Whitesnake). The follow-up, 'Northwinds,' which contains some of his best vocal performances ever, reflecting a growing confidence in his solo career. It was issued just as Whitesnake played their first live shows in 1978. This double CD set contains both albums in full, digitally remastered. The four bonus tracks include 'Sweet Mistreater' (a proposed single) and 'Shame The Devil,' an LP out-take.
