GB is Glenn Bennie, a driving force behind the Underground Lovers, one of Australia's most innovative bands of the '90s. 'Emptiness Is Our Business' was written with a number of different collaborators who are a mix of Glenn's musical heroes (including Steve Kilbey and the late-great Grant McLennan) and some of the hottest new stars in Australian independent music (including Sarah Blasko and Sianna from Love Outside Andromeda). First radio single 'Guillotine' features Angie Hart from Frente.
The album was programmed and engineered by Tim Prince (Crazy Baldheads) and mixed by Tim Whitten (Powder Finger, Gersey and The Panics).

Our pop sensibility has come lately. (While writing the record) I was listening to a lot of doo-wop - in particular Phil Spector produced groups like the Ronnettes, and the Crystals - and I've been obsessed with how melodically centred those old songs are - Nick Johnson COYH
Four months after the events of Peter's explosion, we find the heroes at different places in their lives. Claire, HRG and family try to stay below the radar in their new town, but a classmate of Claire's with some powers of his own knows there's something different about her.
On first single and title track: 'Funny track, wholly written with bass and drums not unlike a lot of the Dark Satanic Mills EP. Quite distinct from the rest of the album structurally. Thematically a return to the Eden subject previously explored in the Sunset Studies track 'There Is No Such Place'. - Glenn Richards
