Australia's guitar virtuoso Bruce Mathiske is about to release his first ever Live DVD. With an overwhelming response to his critically acclaimed CD Live in Ireland, which is described as "Awash with jaw dropping virtuosity" and the Live 2000 video now sold out, the pressure from his worldwide audiences was on to record a Live DVD. Filmed in High Definition and Surround Sound it features concert footage, behind the scenes and includes Bruce performing solo, with his rhythm section and also his guitar quintet.
It encompasses Bruce's usual range of genres from swing to Latin, Jazz to African, Folk to flamenco, gypsy to ambient / landscape simultaneously playing didgeridoo and more. Bruce's many eclectic & various music influences from his world travels and guitarists from the likes of Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix, Leo Kottke, BB King, Barney Kessell and Al Di Meola have evolved into an exciting style all his own.
