The first LP, BuenosAires Blues from 1962, in quintet format, marks Hodges's only ever recordedencounter with Argentinean pianist and composer, Lalo Schifrin. The latter LP, The Eleventh Hour from 1963, showcases the saxophonist soloingon standard tunes with a big band conducted and arranged by Oliver Nelson.
