This stunning CD contains a complete and long unavailable 1963 concert by the Sonny Rollins/Don Cherry piano-less quartet at the Olympia, in Paris. The other players include Henry Grimes on bass and Billy Higgins on drums. Rollins and Cherry's interesting and ephemeral collaboration began in mid 1962 when these two great forces of their individual instruments crossed paths. Although this partnership lasted a little under a year, it created some wonderful music that belies their limited time together. Among the albums many highlights is the only existing rendition of Everything Happens To Me in both Rollins' and Cherry's discographies. The other repertoire includes, Solitude, On Green Dolphin Street, Without a Song, Sonny Moon For Two and 52nd Street Theme.
