The British quartet known as WIRE were one of the most innovative, original and inspiring bands to come out of the UK's punk explosion in the late '70s. Equally as influenced by the Ramones and the Sex Pistols as they were by Brian Eno and Syd Barrett, their groundbreaking first three LPs from the period stand as some of the greatest of their time, blurring the lines between punk rock, psychedelia and the avant-garde.
