Celebration for world's oldest surviving string quartet, founded in Moscow in 1945, plus also the 80th birthday of theoriginal cellist Valentin Berlinksy. This is a new recording of popular works, including their signature piece, Borodin No2, as well as the famous Nocturne (Kismet etc) and marks the first recording of any of these works by the new line-up(who have played together since 1996).
