Internationally renowned, multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban release his eagerly anticipated sixth studio album, entitled All That Echoes on Reprise Records. All That Echoes was produced by Warner Bros. Records Chairman Rob Cavallo, who has also worked with Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, and many others. Other producers include Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson) and Lester Mendez (Shakira, Nelly Furtado).
"From beginning to end, this project has blossomed with absolute joy and inspiration," Groban says. "Together with Rob Cavallo and all the incredible collaborators, we set out to create songs that could bridge the old and the new, the light and the dark of life and love ... all that echoes in our souls. This album makes me feel good, and I hope others feel the same way."

Josh Groban DELUXE CD - All that Echoes

Firstly, the 4 'extra' tracks weren't playable. Secondly, whilst I love Josh's music - there is only one other solo artist whose music does to me what Josh's does - I was expecting a lot more from this album. I really, really hope that it will eventually grow on me (though there have been no other CDs of his where I have been in a position of wishing for a 'belated....improvement with time' affect - I've loved them all instantaneously, apart from, perhaps the odd song here or there. If you get a chance to trial this CD first, I suggest you do that. I've followed his career from the beginning and have never been 'disappointed' till now. I think he could have used his amazingly beautiful voice more effectively than he has done in this CD. Would I still have bought it knowing what I do now about it? Yes.

Josh is back to his best with this album and the four extra songs are extra special. While a much happier album than Illuminations, it still deals with love and love lost. The anthemic "Brave" is soul stirring. There are quite a few cover songs on the album, most of which I wasn't that familiar with so I didn't have any point of comparison except for "Falling Slowly", and while I enjoy Josh's version, I prefer the original from the Broadway show performed by Steve Kazee. This album along with Awake & Illuminations are my favorites.
