SMOKING POPES have been a staple in the punk and indie rock scenes since the mid 1990's playing a unique blend of up - tempo rock with punk guitars and Brit - pop influenced vocals. They helped shape an entire generation of music fans and wrote the book for Chicago's indie rock scene. Now the recently reunited Smoking Popes are back with a new full length live CD and concert DVD that will satisfy what fans have been craving for years. Smoking Popes who had disbanded in December 1998 were a house hold name in the Independent rock world and with an unfaltering die hard fan base they were almost forced to reunite for a reunion show at Chicago's Metro on Nov 11th 2005 which sparked a resurgence in Smoking Popes fans and also the band.
