New Yorkers, Vanilla Fudge was one of the original links between psychedelia and what soon became heavy metal. Always more popular in the UK, they influenced the likes of Deep Purple and toured with Hendrix and Zeppelin. The expanded CD release of this second Vanilla Fudge album is much more accessible than the original vinyl version because of the inclusion of a number of heavy duty cover tunes, most notably fuzzed out Beatles songs.
