Although Supertramp's previous records had popular success, it was BREAKFAST IN AMERICA in 1979 that made them massive global household names, and this release became their biggest selling album with in excess of 18 million copies sold to date worldwide. The DVD fetures: SUPERTRAMP IN LES ENFANTS DU ROCK - RARE 1983 CAREER DOCUMENTARY FIRST SHOWN ON FRENCH TELEVISION (Presented by John Helliwell, it tells the story of the group with a cornucopia of rare footage and interviews with Rick Davies, Roger Hodgson, John Helliwell, Dougie Thomson and Bob Siebenberg), OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST 1979 MAKING OF BREAKFAST IN AMERICA DOCUMENTARY, first shown in March 1979, this clip finds Bob Harris visiting the group during the making of the album in LA, and original video clips of Breakfast In America, The Logical Song and Goodbye Stranger.
The LP was remastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound, and is pressed on 180g vinyl.
The box also features a 60 page hardback book with rare photographs, and an essay and interviews by Phil Alexander (Mojo Magazine), 28 page replica 1979 tour programme, 83x55cm poster 'BREAKFAST BEING SERVED', an envelope containing a replica 1979 tour ticket from Empire Pool Wembley, Breakfast Tour laminate, and a Supertramp 1979 patch.
