Recorded in April 2009 at Roundhouse studios in Auckland, New Zealand on the same analogue equipment that captured "I'll Be Lightning", "Champagne in Seashells" is bigger and bolder, revealing new lyrical complexities and pointing in daring new musical directions. It also marks the debut studio collaboration between Liam and live cohort Eliza Jane. The self produced EP was mixed by legendary sonic wiz Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Gomez, Pearl Jam).
