Enjoying one of the most prolific periods of his career, Neil Young delivers Chrome Dreams II. Hard but shiny, acoustic but also electric, Chrome Dreams II continues the new millennium resurgence in popularity for one of the greatest singer-songwriters in rock history. Where some of Neil Young's previous releases (Living With War and Everybody's Rockin') were albums focused on one subject or style, Chrome Dreams II is an album with a form based on some of his original recordings, with a large variety of songs working together to form a feeling focusing on human condition.

Thirty years after shelving Chrome Dreams, Neil Young has taken to his official Web site to announce plans to release a new album entitled Chrome Dreams II containing ten songs, three of which were previously written. Two of the tracks are epics, clocking in at 18:30 and 13:00. Young’s current backing band on the record includes Crazy Horse drummer Ralph Molina, bassist Rick Rosas and pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith. The Blue Note Horns are on one track and a children’s choir is on another.
