Loaded Strings & Wood brings together acoustic soundscapes with rich textured orchestrations. Well known Rock classics by famous artists like Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Jeff Buckley, The Beatles and many more are recorded in a new instrumental form, blending acoustic and classical instruments with traditional rock styles and sounds.

The recording production of this release brings a fresh exciting sound to these great songs that were written in the 60’s and 70’s. Cello is at the forefront as it soars through the lead vocal range of such classic rock tracks. Careful consideration was placed on this cello performance to evoke an emotional response which would leave the listener with a new heartfelt experience. On songs like Hallelujah, the cello brings alive the emotion of the song moving to a point that many singers could only dream to achieve. The Gu Zheng (Chinese Harp) is also introduced to the western audience for the first time - a 21 string acoustic instrument which possesses an amazing alluring sound.
The sacredness of these classic songs has been respected with the traditional sounds of Hammond organ, bass and drums performances retained. All electric guitars are replaced by acoustic which also enhances a new dimension of sound. Timeless guitar solos from Another Brick In The Wall and Little Wing are highlights for devotees. The choice of cello rather than voice will guarantee that the listener will come back again and again to listen to these great songs – whereas on previous tributes to great singers and bands it is the characteristics of a new voice that has deterred listeners from enjoying new recordings.

This collection of songs has been produced and performed by guitarist David Loader and collaborated, produced and recorded with multi instrumentalist Adrian Hannan. This album is the first instalment of a planned series of volumes.
Live performance and touring with the stunning cellist Jasmine Edwards with string quartet and group is also planned in the near future to support this release.
