The third album from Little Birdy has been in gestation for the past 12 months.  In that time, the quartet fronted by Katy Steele have been working their acoustic-driven pop into glorious, tightly woven forms.  With Steele's vocals aching in all the right places and delivering more than a sliver of soulful inflections, the songs on Confetti are rich in texture - working in strings and a brass section.  A bit of Motown, a touch of memphis, and plenty of sonic diversions of their own invention; Confetti is a blazing sucess.
