A nice slice of American post-punk history here, given the deluxe reissue treatment. Danny and the Parkins Sisters were a San Franciscan art-punk trio who created a shambolic combination of sounds influenced by UK bands the Raincoats, Slits as well as the No Wave scene in New York (Lydia Lunch, Bush Tetras, etc.). Hailed by members of the Dead Kennedys (whose drummer, DH Peligro, guests on the album) and Flipper as one of the great bands of the day, this CD combines their mini LP with previously unreleased demo, live and rehearsal recordings.
