To say that this album is of epic proportions might be a bit of an understantement.
After uping their game with "Deja Entendu" Brand New have floored everyone with a heartfelt, honest, hopeless and magnificant album that is choc-full of mini-masterpieces. "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me" opens with the heart-string-tugging "Sowing Season" the band let it be known from the onset that they haven't had the best time making this record, and it's worked in their favour. Their pain is layered by beautifuly worded lyrics and dreamy tunes that are haunting and delightful at the same time.

From the sombre "Millstone", to the dreamy "Degausser", the terribly sad "Limousene" and the magical "Luca" it is clear that this album has the potential to be anything.

While perfecting their craft Brand New have again solidified their place as one of the most talented and innovative bands in the genre.
