The transition from Busted to Fightstar has been particularly difficult for front man Charlie Simpson, leaving thousands of adoring teenage girls bewildered by his departure from the pop phenomenon to explore the darker recesses of the hardcore scene. However, with debut album 'Grand Unification', Charlie and the rest of Fightstar have been given the chance to explore new sounds and find beauty in the bleakest of places, to great melodic effect. Produced by Colin Richardson (Funeral For A Friend, Machine Head, Slipknot), 'Grand Unification' is bold in design and spectacular in execution and is an important debut for hardcore's newest superstars.
