Rock legend Meat Loaf release 'Hang Cool Teddy Bear', his eleventh studio album in an illustrious career that spans over four eventful decades. The album features an all star cast - it was produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls, My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne, Dave Matthews) and has contributions from guest musicians and singers that include Jack Black, Brian May (Queen), Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Steve Vai, American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi and even British thespian Hugh Laurie playing piano on one track! 'Hang Cool teddy Bear' is a concept album based around a short story by Hollywood writer Killian Kerwin in which a man is lying wounded in an unnamed war, his best friend dead next to him. In this near death state, he experiences, not his life flashing backwards before his eyes, but instead his life flashing forward into a number of possible future situations, all linked with the presence of a woman named Jenny. The story concludes with the character coming round and finding himself in hospital discovering that Jenny is the nurse tending his injuries, at this moment of realisation, the alarms on the machines sound along with a cry of 'code red' and his life flashes backwards before his eyes. The reader is left unknowing whether the character saw his possible future and dies or goes on to live it.
