FRANKIE & THE HEARSTRINGS are the new breed of catchy indie pop to be exported from the UK. They are 5 lovely lads from Sunderland (North England) discovered by the founder of legendary indie label Witchita Recordings. After establishing their very own label POPSEX Ltd., based on the indie club that they all run together, 'Hunger' is the debut release from the band on their innovative able. The album was produced by 80's seminal indiepop god EDWIN COLLINS (Orange Juice) has already sold over 20,000 copies in the UK. Described by one noted music journalist as 'a Hannah Barbera animation of Marty McFly made flesh, fronting a C86 tribute band to The Supremes'.
