Giving the Rock

This EP is a fantastic mix of rock, reggae, punk and ska. The opening track, 'Take the Rock', is an epic, mind-blowing anthem which has received heavy airplay and critical acclaim on Triple J over the past month or so. The second track, 'Teenage Dreams' is an extremely catchy ska-punk track which will stick in your head for a long time, and that's a good thing. Tracks like 'Gasoline' and 'Smoked out City' are sure to get your blood pumping, and 'Time to Yourself' will have you feeling you're in a chilled out Jamaican dancehall and singing along in no time. Clearly drawing from a wide range of musical influences, this polished recording is an absolute must for any fan of punk, rock 'n roll, ska, reggae, or just damn good music in general. Originally from New Zealand, but now residing in Melbourne, the King Cannons have been touring extensively and have recently supported Canadian reggae legends Bedouin Soundclash. This is a perfect start to something you just know is going to get better! A great atmosphere of an early punk sound that isn't restricted by stereotypes. King Cannons sound like they just want to play music. Looking forward to a live show!
