'Live At The Budokan' was recorded at the famous Japanese sumo wrestling venue on 22nd September 1977 by the Ian Gillan Band: Ian Gillan (vocals), Ray Fenwick (guitar), John Gustafson (bass), Colin Towns (keyboards), and Mark Nauseef (drums). It was released in Japan in December 1977 in two volumes, but only released in the UK and Europe as a 2 LP set in July 1983. Also included are versions of three Deep Purple classics: "Child In Time", "Smoke On The Water", and "Woman From Tokyo".
