Since the demise of The Band, Danko has made many solo albums and was also part of the reformed group, without Robbie Robertson. In the mid '80s Danko worked with Paul Butterfieldand Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna), amongst others. This haunting and quite poignant solo set recorded in the year of his death, 1999 in Philadelphia. Danko's set in thosefinal months included a feast of Band songs along with Dylan material as well as traditional blues material.
