Melbourne-raised Noah Taylor is primarily known as an actor, having starred in films as varied as the universally acclaimed Shine to The Year My Voice Broke and even Tomb Raider. He's also an accomplished visual artist and musician, keeping regular company with his old pal, Nick Cave. On Live Free Or Die!!!, Noah has teamed up with Ed Clayton-Jones (The Wreckery) and Cec Condon (The Mess Hall) and formed Noah Taylor & The Sloppy Boys. Combining a marriage of raw rock & roll with gritty punk tinges, hypnotic guitar, swampy drums and deliciously crude and humourous lyrics, Live Free Or Die!!! came about when a recording studio owned by a friend suddenly became available for a few days in 2010. All six tracks were penned by Noahover a one-week period prior to the recording, and given what might appear to be a haphazard approach to recording and band maintenance, the results are astounding. Holiday Sidewinder from Bridezilla, who is Noah's god-daughter, features on the track, 'Scary'.
