Living Receiver is the stunning debut album from The Sunpilots. The album has been described by one music journalist as "bittersweet poetry wrapped in unashamedly guitar-driven rock" - and it's not hard to see why. Singer Raj Siva-Rajah was born in the Brisbane rock scene to a classically trained Sri Lankan mother. This influence shines through on tracks like 'Medicated Shell' (distorted sitar, anyone?). Guitarist Bob Spencer's string arrangements soar through '2 into 3' and 'Ne Risque Rien', evoking memories of George Martin and early Beatles albums.
