Recorded about 18 months before he quit the music business, this concert recording from Cat Stevens's mid-'70s Majikat tour (filmed in Williamsburg, Virginia) lay unused in the vaults for the better part of three decades. Playing acoustic guitar and piano and performing solo, with minimal backing, and with a full band (not to mention a trio of magicians and an impressive stage set), Stevens runs through some 20 songs, with particular emphasis on 'Tea For The Tillerman'. The remastered digital sound is excellent, and there are plenty of extra features, including a lengthy and informative contemporary interview with Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam), six additional songs from the archives (one of which, 'Moonshadow', is presented in animation), and a reproduction of the original tour program. Tracks include 'Moonshadow', 'Lady D'Arbanville', 'Banapple Gas', 'Father & Son', 'Peace Train'.
$19.99 (AUD) A classic piece of Pink Floyd history is revisited 30 years later in a brand new Directors Cut. The band plan a trip to Pompeii to perform some of their finest psychedelic tubes, to an audience of "ghosts" in the 2000 year old amphitheatre. | Very Best Of The Ventures (Aust Exclusive - 20 Trx) $7.99 (AUD) | $13.99 (AUD) | Sultans Of Swing - The Very Best Of Dire Straits $18.99 (AUD) |
$19.99 (AUD) The debut album by the strongest new voice in American folk music. ‘Messenger’ is a truly wonderful record – a record more than worthy of a young singer who’s been hand-selected by both JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE and STEVE EARLE as a touring partner in the last half year or so, and who has just been announced as a nominee for Best New & Emerging Artist in the Americana Music Awards (alongside Crazy Heart Oscar winner Ryan Bingham). | $16.99 (AUD) | $17.99 (AUD) | Forever Delayed (Greatest Hits) $19.99 (AUD) |
