Pet Shop Boys have written the music for a ballet, The Most Incredible Thing, which is scheduled to open on March 20th at Sadler's Wells theatre in London for a week, at the beginning of what is planned as an initial ten week tour. The Most Incredible Thing is a literary fairy tale by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). The story was written in 1870 and is about a contest to find the most incredible thing and the wondrous consequences when the winner is chosen. Andersen considered the tale one of his best. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's story, the world famous electronic dance music duo the Pet Shop Boys are composing their first ever dance work. The Most Incredible Thing promises to be a wondrousshow about art, magic, love and violence.
