No Thyself is the new album - and the first new material in 30 years - from the connoisseurs' choice, Magazine. This is the band's fifth studio album. One of the major bands of the post-punkera, Magazine were as influential in Australia as they were elsewhere. They were staples on Double J (pre-Triple J), 3RRR, 4ZZZ etc, and toured here circa 1980 to much acclaim. Magazine front man, Howard Devoto, is a hugely important , having originally co-formed Buzzcocks with Pete Shelley in 1976. Devoto left the Buzzcocks in 1977 and created Magazine, who wenton to release 4 ground breaking albums and have been cited as influences on the likes of Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker, U2, Muse and, most notably, Radiohead. Having originally reformed in 2009for some live performances, the band has remained together, and this much anticipated and already acclaimed albumis the result. The vinyl will be limited to 500 copies, single sleeve, heavyweight vinyl with full colour inner sleeve featuring lyrics & art.
