Combined for the first time on one CD, Raven presents two unique albums by the legendary Grammy-Award winning singer / songwriter BOBBIE GENTRY. While best remembered for her first and biggest hit, the bittersweet Ode to Billie Joe, Gentry continued to prove herself a performer and writer of rare talent, issuing a string of high quality albums until her retirement in the early 1970s. Her recordings have undergone serious re-evaluation in recent years. Patchwork and Fancy were Gentry's last two albums, both superb examples of her artistry.

Patchwork (tracks 1-12) is a fan favorite and the most requested of her albums to be reissued on CD. Entirely self-penned, it is a marvelous song-cycle embracing personal relationships and obsessions, highlighted by her enticing blend of country-meets-soul-meets-pop with exquisite songs such as Benjamin, Marigolds and Tangerines, Mean Stepmama Blues and Your Number One Fan.
Fancy (tracks 13-22) features her hit cover of Bacharach / David's I'll Never Fall In Love Again, Gentry's own rags-to-riches story song Fancy plus outstanding versions of Leon Russell's Delta Man, James Taylor's Something In The Way He Moves and Laura Nyro's Wedding Bell Blues, backed by full string and horn arrangements. Both albums feature superb quality audio, period photos and detailed liner notes.
