The EP "Prelusive" - a six track treasure of beats, guitars and voice - springboarded Sarah quite suddenly into her recording career. Sarah produced and recorded the EP with guitarist/keyboard player Nick Schneider between June and August 2002, with longtime friend Jeff De Araujo (drums) and bandmate Will New (bass). Mostly recorded in bedrooms in suburban Sydney, this EP was first released independently in Australia and distributed by MGM.
It wasn't long, though, before the national youth radio network, Triple J began playing the enchanting single "Your Way", and within a few months, record companies were knocking on Blasko's door. Sarah eventually decided to sign to Brisbane label, Dew Process, through Universal Music Australia, who re-released the EP in 2003.
