‘Ramona Was A Waitress’ is the second single from Something For Kate frontman, Paul Dempsey’s forthcoming solo album ‘Everything Is True’. A pounding meditation on artificial intelligence, love, death and robots, the track moves with a driving mechanical momentum into a beautiful piano-driven chorus.
The multi track single will include two remixes of ‘Ramona Was A Waitress’ by such luminaries as Perth’s Panda Band, as well as Paul’s sassy cover of the Kim Carnes classic, ‘Bette Davis Eyes’.
Paul’s debut solo album ‘Everything Is True’ will be released August 14 and includes eleven self penned songs on which Paul plays every instrument himself. The album was recorded earlier this year in a studio on the NSW Central Coast and mixed in Los Angeles by Doug Bohem (Elliot Smith, French Kicks) and also saw Paul take on the role of co-producer with Wayne Connolly (Youth Group, Josh Pyke, You Am I).
