Chuck Berry has either directly or indirectly influenced nearly every artist in rock music, including obvious superstars John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Wilson and Springsteen, to name a few. This lavish reissue comprises a 20-page booklet packed with memorabillia, rare photos, detailed liner notes and the 25 flat-out classic cuts ca. 1955-1958, does the man some considerable justice. There may be a lot of Chuck Berry on the market, but the good folks at Hoodoo Records do it way better than just about anyone else.
