This stirring collection is the perfect soundtrack to the 2011 Rugby World Cup Finals, packed with rugby favourites from the competition's leading nations. There is particular emphasis on the host nation New Zealand with tracks by Hayley Westenra, Will Martin, Kiri Te Kanawa and Oceania. The collection opens with a live recording of the rugby anthem 'World in Union' by Dame Kiri Kanawa album made for her 50th birthday celebrations in 1994. Dame Kiri premiered the song at the opening ceremony of the 1991 Rugby World Cup. The Oceania album is a 'lost classic' from 1999, led by the Maori vocals of Hinewehi Mohi, with spiritual and exotic electronic elements under the guidance of Jaz Coleman.
