Although Say It Is So was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, it’s far from country. Even though Tim Finn was heavily influenced by Wilco at the time, this record is more of a derivative of Finn – the album he recorded with brother Neil. It’s full of beautifully simple songs that sit deep among unusual, experimental sounds. Produced by Jay Joyce (Wallflowers, Iggy Pop, Patti Griffin) and released in 2000, look out for the standout tracks - Underwater Mountain, Death Of A Popular Song, Rest and Need To Be Right.
